Sandless Refinishing

Sandless Hardwood Floor Refinishing
in Cleveland, OH

Sandless refinishing, sometimes called buff and coat, is a hassle-free alternative to the traditional sanding and refinishing process to restore wood floors. This maintenance process revitalizes floors that have not yet worn to the point of needing a full sand and refinish.

A Convenient Option

Sandless floor refinishing can be done in just a couple of hours. Businesses love this process because we can come in at closing time and have the floors dried and ready for opening the next morning.  Our company has provided this service to many schools, churches, retail stores, commercial spaces, and restaurants in the Cleveland, OH, area with fantastic results.

Likewise, homeowners love our sandless floor refinishing services because there is minimal disruption to their lives and their homes are ready for normal family traffic in just a few short hours.

Our Process

The sandless floor refinishing process involves buffing the floors to remove surface scuffs and scratches. Hazelwood Floors uses state-of-the-art floor buffers that hook right up to a vacuum system. This makes the buffing process virtually dust free.

After the floor has been buffed and thoroughly cleaned, we apply a coating of an odorless, fast drying, fast curing, and extremely durable finish. Our clients have the option to choose between oil and water-based finishes, available in matte, satin, semi-gloss, and gloss. Additional coatings are available for an additional charge.

An Important Note

We cannot guarantee our sandless floor refinishing service unless the floor has been refinished within the last 2-3 years. Floors are often cleaned with a variety of different products that contain many chemicals that are not recommended on floors. Chemical reactions and contaminations can occur if a floor has been cleaned with Murphy's oil, among other chemical cleaners. This can cause an adverse reaction to the new coat of polyurethane.
